Beaten by a 2 year old

I had set two goals for myself to accomplish this past weekend and managed to fail at both. The first was to have a full day of potty training bootcamp for Miss Emmeline with the hopes that she would be fully trained by the time the weekend was up. The other was to run four miles.

Certain departments at work were offering overtime and giving away $50 gift cards to anyone who worked four hours of OT or more. Jason, being the machine that he is, decided to bleed them dry take advantage of it and ended up working 24 hours of OT for the whole weekend. Since I knew that I was going to be home alone with Miss Em, I devised a grand plan for potty training. Home girl had other ideas, though. She decided to be stubborn and pretty much refuse to tell me when she had to pee. I had her in underwear the whole day (except for naptime) and she went through 5 pairs of undies. So, I cleaned up pee from her high chair, the couch, the floor and the bed. Lucky me. Sooooooo frustrating to know that she knows that she needs to go on the toilet and refuses to do so.

This was right before she started grunting and trying to poop in her pants.
We received a package from Aunt Lulu and she had fun with the packing peanuts.
Goal #2 was to get on the treadmill and run a full 4 miles, which I have not done before. However, my stomach started acting up Saturday afternoon, so I didn't really eat much that night and I didn't work out at all. Sunday, I was feeling better so when Em when down for a nap, I got my run on. It did not go well, though. I hit a wall after 2 miles and slowed to a walk. I tried to run again after 1/4 mile, but couldn't get back into it. I was really disappointed in myself because I really want to get better with my running.

Last night, I decided to get crazy in the kitchen. I made this delicious recipe from SkinnyTaste. This is the second time I've made it and it is definitely a favorite. I just leave the tomatoes off of Jason's. I also made some Peanut Butter & Chocolate chip cookies. I had picked up some Peanut Butter & Chocolate chips at the grocery store (impulse buy, they were on sale!) and Jason asked me to make him some. Since I am the "Best Girlfriend Ever" (I totally need that on a mug), I whipped them up last night. Then, because I am superwoman, I also made PW's Bacon Wrapped Jalapenos to bring to work today for our team food day. I rolled them up last night and then popped them in the oven this morning and of course, I had to taste test. Wouldn't want to bring anything that was sub-par. As I expected, delicious. I'm going to try not to gorge myself on all the food today. I have a surprise that I'll share with you all tomorrow!
